Creating a Movie Clip

For this example we will build upon the
RESIZING A LIBRARY SYMBOL file. Click
here to download the file. Here are the steps to adding
effects to a symbol:
- Creating a new MOVIE CLIP.
Select INSERT / NEW SYMBOL from the menu bar.
- Name the MOVIE CLIP.
Type a name in the TEXT BOX. Then select OK.
- Edit mode.
The screen defaults to EDIT MODE. You can tell
it's in EDIT MODE by looking at the top of the stage.
There, the name MOVIE_CLIP1 is visible.
- Create a simple TWEENED ANIMATION in layer 1.
Draw an object.
Convert it to a LIBRARY SYMBOL. Select GRAPHIC as
the symbol type.
Insert a KEYFRAME in frame 30.
Move the object in frame 30 to the ending position
of the animation.
Right click in the TIMELINE and select CREATE MOTION
TWEEN.

- Move back to the the MAIN STAGE in SCENE 1.
Select SCENE 1 at the top of the stage or type CTrl+E
from the keyboard.

- Open the library.
Select MOVIE_CLIP 1 from the LIBRARY. Click and drag
the MOVIE CLIP from the LIBRARY PREVIEW WINDOW to
the main stage.

- Select F12 from the keyboard to play the animation.
