Converting Main Timeline Frames to a Movie Clip

For this example we will build upon the RESIZING
A LIBRARY SYMBOL file.

Here are the steps to converting TIMELINE
FRAMES to a MOVIE CLIP:
- SELECTING the frames.
Insert a new layer below the exisiting layer(s) or
insert the layer above and drag it to the bottom of
the layer hierarchy.
- Select the FRAMES to COPY
Drag a marquee from the new layer up through the 2
layers whose frames we wish to copy.
- COPY the FRAMES
Right click on the selected frames and select COPY
FRAMES.
- Create a NEW LIBRARY SYMBOL
Select INSERT / NEW SYMBOL from the menubar. Choose
MOVIE CLIP and enter a name for the movie clip.
- PASTE the frames
Right click in the the single exisiting frame in the
new symbol. Scroll down to PASTE FRAMES and click.
- Your screen should look
similar to this one.
- DELETE the LAYERS from the main timeline.
Right click on each of the top 2 layers and select
DELETE LAYER.
- Using an INSTANCE of the MOVIE CLIP
Open the library ( Ctrl+ L ). Highlight CLIP1 so that
it appears in the LIBRARY PREVIEW WINDOW. Drag it
from the preview window onto the stage.

- You can use as many INSTANCES of the movie clip
as you like.
