Understanding
the Publish Report
To
generate a report listing the amount
of data in the final Flash Player file
by file:
- Choose FILE / PUBLISH SETTINGS.
- Select the FLASH tab.
- Select Generate Size Report checkbox.
- Click Publish.
Flash generates a text file with the same name as
the exported movie plus the .txt extension. The report
lists the amount of data in the final Flash Player
file by frame. Using the report gives you the opportunity
to see where large components are introduced to the
movie and then allow you work at reducing their size.
