Flash provides various tools for
drawing freeform or precise lines,
shapes, and paths, and painting filled
objects.
Arrow
This is the primary tool used to
select, move and manipulate
Flash objects.
Subselection
Use to select handles or nodes of
vector objects.
Line
Draws straight lines of variable
widths, lengths and colors.
Hold down the SHIFT key while drawing
to create lines in 45 degree increment
angles.
Lasso
Bitmap tool used to select irregular
shapes or cut out areas
Pen
Used to create smooth arcs and create
precise lines.
Text
This tool is used to type text on
the stage.
Oval
Draw ovals and circles.
Hold down the SHIFT key while drawing
to create perfect circles.
Rectangle
Draw rectangles and squares.
Hold down the SHIFT key while drawing
to create perfect squares.
Pencil
Used to draw freehand.
Brush
Used to draw fills.
Ink Bottle
Add outlines to vector fills.
Paint
Bucket
Add fills to outlines.
Eye Dropper
Use to select colors from any vector
image.
Eraser
The eraser deselects areas of bitmap
images.
Magnet
Using this tool will snap drawn lines
or fills to the next nearest object.
